Netball

Hello, this my blog about Netball and I’m gonna answer the questions about Netball.

There are seven people in one netball team.

There are three main equal sections.

Three seconds: Pass or shoot within three seconds.

No Traveling: Keep your landing foot planted.

No Contact: Bumping, pushing, or hitting is illegal.

Three Feet: Stand 0.9m back to defend.

Stay Zoned: Stick to your position’s court areas.

You cannot dribble the ball when you play netball.

The only people who can shoot the ball are  GA and GS.

No, you can’t, that’s one of the rules in netball that you can’t have contact with your opponent.

GS – Goal shoot: Scores goals. Operates strictly within the attacking goal circle and third.

GA -Goal Attack: Scores goals and feeds the shooter. Covers centre and attacking thirds.

GK Goal Keeper: Defends the goal circle. Guards the opposing Goal, Shooter.

WD Wing Defense: Defends the centre and goal thirds. Blocks the opposing Wing Attack.

WA Wing Attack: Feeds the ball to the shooters. Covers centre and attacking thirds.
C Centre: Links defence and attack. Plays everywhere except the goal circles.
GD  Goal Defence: Defends the goal third and circle. Guards the opposing Goal Attacker Name of the NZ netball team?

Name 7 of the players.

Chicken dissection blog

Hi this is my blog about chicken dissection .

AIM:

The aim of this experiment was to learn about the bones, muscles and tendons inside a chicken wing and to see how the muscles, bones, tendons and joint work together.

METHOD:

first is we cut open the chicken wing using scissors and pulled back the skin.Second is we observed the fat ,muscles, tendons ,bones, and the elbow joint inside the wing.We also pulled the tendons too see how the wing moved.

Discussion:

This experiment helped us understand how the muscles ,tendons, bones and joints work together to help movement. Tendons connect muscles to bones, and the elbow joint helps the wing bend. The bones also give support and shape to the wing.

That’s all thank you :p

SCIENCE-EXPERIMENT

Hi this is my blog about the 4 things I learned from the past weeks of term one.

Convection; convection is the area of liquids or gasses  with more thermal energy in their particles that will rise, while areas with less thermal energy will fall.

Contraction: Contraction is when the particles vibrate slower and move close together when thermal energy is removed, causing solids, liquids and gasses to contract ( get smaller ) when cooled.

Diffusion: diffusion is when the particles move from areas of high concentration to areas of low concentration until they spread out evenly.

Conduction : conduction is the transfer of heat or electricity  directly through a material, usually solids.

Key Learning :

CONVECTION: Convection is the thing that transfers heat by the physical movement of fluids. When the fluid is heated it becomes less dense, and like when  it rises and cools down.

This convection experiment with my group mates  went great. We had fun doing that drop crystal on the liquid water inside a beaker, it was very satisfying watching it.

CONTRACTION: Contraction is thermal contraction is the decrease in a material’s volume, or like shrinkage when the temperature decreases, and like how the particles lose kinetic energy, it starts to slow down and pack more closely all together.

The convection  experiment was my favorite because the pooping sound is so satisfying  to hear and  the way it shrink so fast was so good , but sadly mine wasn’t hot enough to shrink and make a loud pooping sound but it’s okay it was fun to watch anyways.

DIFFUSION:  Diffusion is the passive movement of particles from the higher area of concentration to the lower  concentration until it is heavily distributed to all the parts.

The diffusion experiment was very interesting because we got all perfect  like a beautiful droplet slowly spread out and the color was so pretty.

CONDUCTION: Conduction is the transfer of heat through the solid matter directed to the moleculars collision.

The conduction experiment was probably my least favorite because it was kinda boring and the pin took so long to fall it took as nearly  fifteen minutes for one pin to fall and there were six pins so we didn’t get to finish the experiment because we were running out of time.

HEALTH -HAOURA

THE HAUORA OF TAHA WHANAU

There are 5 areas of Haoura

The 5 areas of Hauora are Taha Whanau,Taha hinengaro,Taha tinana,Taha wairua and Whenua.

Te Whare tapa is Maori concept about The 4 wall of a whare  is Taha whanu- Family and social,Taha hinengaro-mental and emotional Taha tinana- Physical,Taha wairua – spirituala and Whenua-land and roots

Today in health we played a game called shark infested custard, the game was about teamwork and trying to figure out how to get to the end of the line with only 4 to 2 holla hoops and to go back to the start again we had to figure out what strategies or techniques we had to do for each  group it was kinda hard because you have to fit  four people inside of on e holla hoop  .The rules of the game was no stepping out of the holla hoop and no cheating, I think that’s all the rules. The best part of the game was when it was ending because it was freezing outside and the weather was kinda bad that day.

My Haoura was positively affected during the game as it helps me to socialize with my new classmates and  it helps me to communicate to my classmate too ,we like  tried helping each other out on stuff or like share our strategies and our thoughts to each other and I guess this is how it positively affected my Hauora. This had positive impact on my Hauora because it helps me to socialize to my classmate not only to the girls but with guys.

My Hauora was negatively impacted when… I had to squeeze myself in the holla hoop with my teammates because  it feels like I’m gonna fall out of the holla hoop and the part when I had to squish myself with my guy classmates it’s just kinda uncomfortable.

What I could improve on is … I think I could improve on my Hauora  by trying to socialize more to my other classmates or like I’m gonna try to communicate to them more, but I think as the months past by I’m gonna know them little by little and like maybe my class will have a great bond  for each other but will see in the end of the school year. ( I don’t think I’m talking about the topic anymore) …..

This will have a positive impact on my Hauora because it helped me to socialize a little more with my classmates and it’s a big thing too because of the teamwork game I got to know my classmates a little bit better than the last time, and it’s a big impact for me to try to cooperate  or like communicate with others too because I gotta try to get out of my comfort zone and not only talk to my girl classmates but with the guys too, but like not that close like a pick me but a  normal classmate …

I think that’s all I can discuss for now (67)

THANKS AGAIN FOR READING THIS 😛

THE END.

Haoura – Health

THE HAUORA OF TAHA HINENGARO – HEALTH

Today in health we learned about the haoura of  taha hinengaro

We did a game tasked about listening to some calming sounds and we were listening to a guy  in the tv talking about some calming stuff to do while listening to the music , we get to calm ourselves and for the first time the whole  health class felt silent and peaceful in the same time.

The are 5 areas of Hauora are Taha Tinengro, Taha Whenu, Taha Wairua ,Whenua and Taha Tinana.

Te whare Tapa is Maori concept is about a house with different types  of Hauora is basically about your whole well being and stuff emotions.

Today  we played  a game. I don’t know what it’s called but it’s about calming ourselves, we were listening to calming music while a guy was talking about directions to tense our whole body.

The rules of the game were closing our eyes and trying to be calm while closing our eyes.

The best part of the game was when the whole class was so quiet. I really love how it’s so peaceful and calming … sigh i wish the class is always like that peaceful.

My Hauora was positively affected during the game as it helps us to feel calm and relaxed at that time.  This had a positive impact on my Hauora because it helps me to control my emotions and my mind feels better. It feels like I forgot about the stress and yeah I just felt really relaxed that time.

What could I improve on… ? I think next time I’m gonna try to not distract myself anymore, because earlier I kinda distracted myself because I was talking to Skye while Mrs. Oregon was discussing the topic of taha hinegaro and next time I’m gonna try to socialize and cooperate with the other students.

This will have a positive impact on my Hauora because…?  It helps me to relax with my mental emotions and physical emotions, it gave me a big impact in my life right now to learn or study our  emotions because at this age we teens are going through a lot of changes because we just hit puberty , were still learning how to control our emotion and still trying to learn our body so this actually gave me a lot of new knowledge from this topic of Houora .

This is my knowledge from now , but I know I will learn more stuff than this so I’m gonna update this blog when I learn more about this topic.

THATS ALL TYSM :p
